Alumni News:

Heather Parcells (BFA Music Theatre 2000) is currently in the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line. She was also a member of the ensemble of Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang, after completing the national tours of Chicago and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

Sean Daniels (BA 1995), a Tallahassee native, co-founded Dad’s Garage Theatre Company in Atlanta, and served as Artistic Director for ten years. Sean has been featured in American Theatre magazine on numerous occasions for his outstanding work including as “One of the top fifteen up & coming artists in the U.S.” and “One of the 7 People Reshaping and Revitalizing the American Musical.” Sean was recently named Associate Artistic Director of Actors Theatre of Louisville.

Joe Knezevich (BFA 1999) recently completed his seventh season at Georgia Shakespeare, where he is an Associate Artist, including Yasha in The Cherry Orchard and Balthazar in The Comedy of Errors. He was seen in the recent Columbia Pictures release ALL THE KINGS MEN starring Sean Penn, Jude Law and James Gandolfini.

M.Eric Rimes (BFA 1992) is the Head of Lighting Technology and a Faculty member at the North Carolina School of the Arts. He has also worked as a stage electrician on the national tours of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jekyll & Hyde, Aida and as a Deck Electrician on the Broadway production of Wicked.

Shannon Wyatt Black is a member of Spiral, Inc., a theatre company in Manhattan dedicated to bringing new works to the city. She also serves as the Assistant to the Program Director at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she attended and graduated from after FSU.

Two School of Theatre alumni received Emmy Awards nominations last year for Casting in the Creative Arts area. John Brace was nominated and received the Emmy for Outstanding Casting for A Drama Series for GREY’S ANATOMY (ABC) at the 58th Annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards. John Papsidera was nominated and received the Emmy for Outstanding Casting for a Miniseries, Movie or Special for LACKAWANNA BLUES (HBO) at the 57th Annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
