The course work covers such areas as marketing, public relations and subscription sales campaigns, budget-making, fund raising, grant writing, proposal development, contracts, project management, research, corporate structure, resource management – facility, fiscal and HRM, managing and leading personnel, working with Boards of Directors and donors, and how to make effective public presentations.

Many of the seminar classes enroll arts administration students from other FSU programs in music, opera, visual arts and dance, arts education, and museum management. Classes include a broad perspective on the arts in America as well as the operating of an arts organization in today's business environment.
