Master of Fine Arts - Scenic Design

The Scenic Design program provides students with the training and experience needed to enter the professional design field. Students graduate with a detailed knowledge of all aspects of the scenic design process. Artisan skills such as drafting, model construction, scene painting, and computer drafting and rendering are developed.

Students are also encouraged to enrich their skills in drawing watercolor, engraving or other techniques of studio art and to expand their experiences by designing or assisting a designer for dance and opera productions.

Each MFA scene design student will design at least three productions while at FSU.
