Written by acclaimed Spanish poet and dramatist Federico Garcia Lorca, Yerma is a Spanish housewife who desperately tries to solve her inability to conceive a child. Clashing with the strict moral codes of those around her, she is driven to the limits of her sanity. This haunting tragedy deals with the themes of isolation, passion and frustration, but also the underlying theme of nature, marriage, jealousy and friendship. Recommended Ages: 16+
